carbonchair is made from two high-performance materials: carbon fibre and stainless steel.

 

easily stackable, highly resistant and very light, carbonchair focuses on practicality, functionality and style.

 

carbonchair is designed around one continuous robust body shape, which brings strength,

durability and character to the chair. its back legs consist in a stainless steel tubular structure
to withstand rough handling.

fabrication

carbonchair is entirely hand-made.

 

the fabrication of the prototype required the construction of three moulds, with a gradual improvement
of the surface finish by sanding and polishing.

 

fibres are laid and resin is applied by hand.

 

the back legs, made from a 2 metre-long stainless steel tube, are bent manually, following blueprints.
